Conference Overview

Delegates to the conference come from BC, across Canada and the US. They include performing arts and school presenters, facility managers, artists and agents/managers and government funding partners and industry representatives. On average, Pacific Contact attracts 250 delegates each year. Presenters come to Pacific Contact to book performances for their communities, organizations, schools, festivals and facilities. They come to the showcases at Pacific Contact to experience artists “live – on stage”. They get to see who is in the marketplace and the level of artistry available for touring. Artists, Agents and Managers come to sell their shows and book tours and to network with colleagues. Everyone comes for professional development, workshops, networking opportunities, hospitality, special meetings, presentations – and fun! Juried showcases are 15 minutes long at Pacific Contact. Music, Dance, Theatre and Variety acts are showcased for delegates who book for both adult and family audiences. There are 24 to 30 juried 15-minute showcases each year.
