Conference Overview

Join us at the 2024 OAPN Regional Booking Conference for a networking-focused, in-person conference showcasing diverse talent across all performing arts disciplines. Our Official Juried Showcase will feature 30 exceptional artists, each delivering a dynamic 15-minute set over three days.

Curated by a committee comprised of agents, artists, presenters, and past showcasing talents, our juried showcases promise a vibrant array of performances spanning dance, theatre, magic, one-person shows, comedy, young audience/educational, and various musical genres.

To be considered for this opportunity, submit your application via I Want To Showcase before the deadline on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 11:55 PM EST.

Your showcase will be presented on stage at the historic 901-seat Valentine Theatre at 410 Adams Street. Full lighting, sound, and backline will be provided.

Each artist will receive 30 minutes for tech and soundcheck during the morning of their evening showcase. While we strive to accommodate your production needs, please note that our showcase format may differ from your regular tech rider in a more limited capacity. Selected Artists will have a direct line of communication with our production manager to confirm that your needs are met.

Artists will have 15 minutes to present their show to our attending Presenters and other conference attendees in the audience.

Before submitting, please confirm your availability for all three juried showcase days:

  • Sunday, September 29, 6-10 pm
  • Monday, September 30, 6-10 pm
  • Tuesday, October 1, 6-10 pm

Please note: Artists will not be able to select their preferred day or time. This year's showcase will be curated by our production manager that is in the best interest of the Artists performances, and staging needs for that evening.

Please ensure all sections of the IWTS application are completed for full consideration.

Additionally, we're excited to announce our sponsorship opportunity, the "EDIA Emerging Artist" scholarship, designed to support Ohio-based, self- or unrepresented artists from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or disabled communities. This scholarship covers all expenses associated with showcasing and attending our conference, including registration, exhibit hall booth, showcasing fees, hotel accommodations, travel stipends, and more. Eligible artists can indicate their interest during the application process.

Showcase Criteria

Artists who submit to showcase will go through a rubric grading style process led by OAPN’s showcase jury. This jury is composed of experienced presenters, artists, and other arts professionals from across the state who represent diverse communities, genres, and expertise.

If you are an Agent, please fill out an application for each showcasing act.

Ohio Arts Professionals Network’s Showcase Committee reviews all submitted information and determines which applications will move forward based on artistic quality, readiness to tour, professionalism, marketing materials, and performing experience among many additional factors. It is essential that the materials provided to the jury reflect the quality of the artist's work.

Those who were accepted as Juried Showcase Artists in 2022 are not eligible to submit to showcase for our 2024 conference.

Artists should be prepared to showcase the performance that was stated in the application. Any changes to configuration must be proposed for consideration by OAPN’s Showcase Committee as early as possible prior to the conference.

Complete applications must be submitted along with the $60 application fee by 11:55 PM on Sunday, March 31, 2024. All applicants will be notified of their status in mid April.

If selected to showcase, the Artist or Agent must be a current OAPN Member. [Become a Member or Renew Here https://www.oapn.org/become-a-member]
